Kristin Fischer will join CNN as the Space and Defense Correspondent in July 2021. In her new position, Fisher is responsible for covering everything from NASA's newly-created Space Force to commercial space companies and space tourism. Kristin, her mother was one of NASA astronauts and an enthusiastic space lover, grew up immersed in the industry. She served for five years in the position of White House correspondent for FOX News covering space policy under the Trump and Biden Administrations. The reporter also reported on the presidential election in 2020 and the efforts of two administrations to fight the coronavirus. In addition, she traveled with President Trump and Vice President Trump extensively. The trip included a shady trip to Afghanistan. Before becoming a part of the company in 2015, Kristin spent nearly a decade working her way up through local TV news markets in Grand Junction, Colorado; Little Rock, Arkansas; and Washington, D.C. where she won an Emmy Award as a one-man-band reporter for the Washington, D.C.'s CBS affiliate. Utilizing her expertise in front of the camera Kristin founded Field Mouse Films in 2014, which focused on making documentary-style movies for corporate clients including Uber as well as Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin received her Bachelors of Science in Journalism from Boston University. Her husband and three year-old daughter reside in Washington, D.C.
